The French Society of Aesthetic Medicine (Société Française de Médecine Esthétique) was established in 1973; it will therefore celebrate its 53rd anniversary in 2026.

It brings together all physicians—whether specialists or non-specialists—who, in their daily practice in private clinics or hospital departments, offer their patients guidance, care, or treatments intended to improve aesthetic appearance.

The fields of application for Aesthetic Medicine extend to Aesthetic Dermatology, Aesthetic Phlebology, Endocrinology, Nutrition, Cosmetology, and—in collaboration with Plastic Surgeons—Aesthetic Surgery.

Every year, the French Society of Aesthetic Medicine organizes its National Congress, which brings together more than 1,800 participants in Paris.

The next Congress will take place at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on September 25 and 26, 2026.
